How To Get Rid Of The Pus Cells?

Dear Doctor,

I am a 24-year old woman, married, and suffering from UTI. I had my urinalysis this morning and according to the result of my lab test, i have plenty of pus cells. what does that mean? My doctor prescribed ciprofloxacin. will that help lessen the pus cell? Please answer. Thank you.

Pus cells in urine can be due to UTI , stone disease, tuberculosis, malignancy.
But since u have history ot UTI, probably it is due to infection in ur case.
Ciprofloxacin should help unless ur UTI is resistant to it. get urine culture done.
Also u may get ultrasound KUB done to rule out any cause of persistent UTI.
