How To Get Rid Of Sun Burn Or Rashes?

My daughter keeps on getting a bad rash every time she is out in the sun. The rash looks like slap cheek but it isn t. The doctor thought it could be the sun cream so I have changed it a couple of times and now this week I havent put any on her for three days but she still has the rash.

Hello,

Your daughter concern may be PMLE (Polymorphous light eruption). Start using any branded sunscreen of SPF 50 during noon time, irrespective of sun exposure.

Ask her to avoid direct sunlight between 10 am to 3 pm and full cloth protection. Prefer pure cotton clothes and plan for phototherapy for raising immunity against UV rays. This may help her.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sandeep Golla
