How To Get Rid Of Nasal Congestion?
im on day 5 of a cold and my mucus is now clear after being green but i am still congested nasaly, is this normal? I have been using sudafed nasal spray, diluted 50/50 with saline every second day twice a day, if l use it again today will i get rebound?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nasal congestion . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like hay fever , nasal polyps , chemical exposures , chronic sinusitis , tumors and a deviated septum . Allergic rhinitis can also cause such symptoms .
I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , nasal endoscopy , viral culture test and blood tests . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or anti viral depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestant or expectorant . Drink glass of warm water with one spoon of honey twice a day.
Doctor may also prescribe anti allergic or recommend surgery in case of deviated nasal septum or nasal polyp . For now apply warm compresses on nose , keep your head elevated while sleeping and take benadryl twice a day .
