How To Get Over The General Feeling Of Malaise And Hurting Due To A Brain Contusion Frontal Lobe ?

Hi Dr. Grief, My son was in the hospital this past weekend for a brain contusion (moderate) frontal lobe. He is home now taking Keppra for one week. He was the victim of an assault. Since we got home yesterday, he is irritable, anxious and upset about what happened to him. Physically, his head hurts and he has a general feeling of malaise. He is a recreation pot smoker and wonders if smoking a little bit would aggravate his situation or be medically detrimental. He thinks a small amount would help his agitation and mild nausea. What do you think. He is a 21 year old chemistry student at UCSD. His health until this weekend is quite good. Thanks so much. Robin
