I quit smoking 3 months ago after smoking for 20 years. I don't have problems breathing but I do have a mucus problem and expelling it. It feels like it is in my throat and lower chest. I occasionally get horse and wheeze until I clear my throat I also am experiencing pain in the back of my neck that has been there since I quit.
hi dear, having wheezing and throat pain is secondary to smoking for 20 years. sometimes due to excessive smoking fibrosis occurs in mouth and also in neck and sometimes mucosa gets irritation so secondary cough and expectoration is there. fibrosis of mucosa feels in your throat and in lower chest is collection of cough. go for x-ray chest and also sputum examination. also consult TB and chest physician. Thank you.
