My left upper lip suddenly swelling one month ago , I went to dermatologist and gave me cortisone injection in the swollen area and 20 caps of doxicycline , the swelling disappear after the cortisone injection only for one week and return back again with pain , it bother me too much and don't know what to do , I need help please .

Hi sudden swelling if the upperlip can be angioedema which is due to intake of allergens like fo od and water or drugs.insect bites and stings.it can be due to any source of infection anywhere in the body.
Use of antibiotic twice daily.atarax 25 mg at night.alaspan in the day time and if no response go for oral steriods
