What could a rash on both legs (below the knees) be. The rash started about 10 months ago, and is getting larger, and does not itch or hurt, is not bumpy or scabby, but flat and when you run your finger over the areas the color goes away. Thank you for your help
It may be purpuric dermatosis... called progressive pigmented purpuric dermatosis, also called Schamberg diseases. It is a benign asymptomatic harmless condition. The blood is spread in dermis due to rupture of dermal capillaries, may be caused by capillaritis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.I would recommend you to apply thrombophob ointment on the patches. Take vitamin C and K tablets. Keep the legs elevated while sleeping.
Hope this helps.
