How To Cure 50% Hearing Loss With Pressure In The Ears When Sudafed Helps Only For A While?
I picked up some type of sinus infection along with cough/congestion from a friend back in late June (we shared a bottle of booze on a camping trip). Since then I've had pressure on my ears and my hearing is about 50% of what it used to be. I've seen a local ENT dr. - found nothing, gotten a hearing test - results were loss of hearing (duh, I knew that). I still have pressure in my ears - I get a small amount of relief by taking Sudafed - what I want is a cure, not to mask it with a pill. Any suggestions?

Its possible that you might be having a fluid filled middle ear. The same is possible to be seen with the close examination of the ear with a otoscope. Irrespective of that you may still take an antibiotic such as amoxycilline or cefexime etc. Start chewing some chewing gums as that helps in releasing the secretions pent up in the middle ear.
