Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of 23 yr old male, having a wet, sticky odor scrotum for last one year. Before this wetting started you had sex with someone. Non- itchy , no pain , no discharge. Only scrotum involved. Sometimes it appears red in colour (the whole scrotum). You wash this area thoroughly , but after shower also it stays sticky. You have tried cotrimazol beclamethason cream without any improvement. Your concern is whether it be an STD,herpes?

Since you are young and secrete testosterone at its height due to sexual contacts and young age, there is too much of sweating and retention of the sweat causes this to appear.
Since this has happened after sex, the possibility of STD has to be borne in mind, but this is not the one listed in the STD panel. This can be most probably a fungal infection or infection with saprophytic bacteria.

I would advise you the following:
Clean with plain water 4 times a day.
Make it dry with hair dryer.
Apply liquid povidone iodine twice daily and let it dry before you wear something.
War loose underwear and pant.
Avoid exposure to hot and humid atmosphere.
Oral antibiotic, metronidazole, and anti-fungal tablets are needed. Also needed are multivitamins, antihistamine and symptomatic treatment.
Avoid scents and deodorants.
I am sure all these exercises will help you to get a cure.
