How Safe Is Taking Amoxicillin And Omerazole During Pregnancy?

Doctor has prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg (one week), clarithromycin 500mg (one week), omerazole 20 mg (3 weeks) and almagel (trigel) 10 ml (2 weeks) against helico bacteria and reflux. I've been taking these for 2 weeks now. but today i've found out that I'm now 4 weeks pregnant. please advise me whether these antibiotics are safe during the trimester of pregnancy. many thanks.

The best answer is that you should contact your doctor, you will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using this therapy and go further according to his/her advice.

You should be aware of that, clarithromycin has been shown to cause harm to the fetus. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy except when no other antibiotics can be used.
Caution is recommended while using this therapy as it is excreted into human milk. So you can not breast-feed while taking this therapy pack. A decision should be made to discontinue breastfeeding or express and discard milk during treatment.
