Hi Doctor, I am 26 yrs old and will turn 27 this December. My husband is 29 yrs old.

We have been married for more than 3 yrs now.

We have started TTC for about a yr and a half.

After several unsuccessful attempts we decided to take medical help. We did visit doctors earlier as well and ran all tests and were diagnosed –ve for any probs.

More recently when we went again to a fresh doctor he asked us to get all the tests redone. Blood, Tube Test, follicular study everythin.

The problem he identified was that I have a slight PCOS in one of my ovaries and hence he started me on Metformin.

May’11 he asked us to go on contraceptive pill as all the tests were not completed.



Then from june’11 onwards we started our treatment-

June’11 & July’11

Treatment – Timed SI

He would study my follicular growth and put me on Clomiphene for 5 days. Gave HCG injection for Egg rupture and asked to hav sexual intercourse on the right days.

After ovulation he put me on duphaston & some vaginal inserting Progesterone tablets.



Result

During both months I did not experience any of the usual pre menstrual symptoms. My periods jus came unexpected, but a few days late. That’s all.

In july, I even experienced slight spotting on the 9th day after ovulation.



What I want to know:

Should I be giving up hope cos its painful.. 

Do we have any chances?

Why the light spotting when there was no implantation?

What should be my next steps?
