How Long Will It Take To Start My Periods After Taking Medicine?

i had periods from dec 21 to 28 and had no periods on jan. Consulted a gynecologist. we saw early stages of pregnancy in ultrasound scan, only a gestational sac was seen.The doctor advised me to keep zitotec 200mg in vagina. i kept a total of 2 zitotec 200 mg tab, 1 each day in vagina to get the period started. but nothing happened til now. the second zitotec tab was kept last night. how many days it will take to start the bleeding after taking the medicine. Please advice. its urgent.

Hello, well from the history you have given, zitotec is a medicine for inducing abortion, for some people the bleeding starts in few hours, for some it may take around 48 hours.i would suggest you to waite till then, but in case the bleeding is severe or if the abdominal pain is not tolerable you have to consult your gynaecologist immediately. Since you are in early weeks less dosage is sufficient but if the product of conception still haven't come out your may require further dosage. Hope i was helpful to you.
