How Long Should MP Forte Be Taken For Missed Period?
Hi, I am 23 year unmarried woman. I got 14 days delay in my periods. I started taking medicine M.P.Forte from today. How many times/day should I take this medicine? Will it has any side effect? I am suffering from e regular period cycle and I have consulted the doctor as well. Couldn t find the permanent solution. Thanks.
Mp forte is a pain medication that contains Mefenamic acid and paracetamol. It generally does not affect the periods and is not a recommended treatment for delayed periods. You will need a proper exam to identify the cause of your delayed periods and have the proper treatment. Most of the time (if pregnancy is ruled out), hormonal blood tests are done such as TSH, prolactin, testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, etc.
Combined oral contraception is used in most of the cases for 3-6 months to help the periods become regular.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
