How Long Can One Safely Take DOLO 650?
Hi I am 39 year, Male, 5-9 , 66 kg. I am sufferring from PUO(Persistent fever(102 to 103.5 degrees) along with Dry Cough for more than 3 weeks. My diagnostic test are not revealing anything and more tests are being prescribed. I am taking Dolo 650 four times a day. How long can one safely take DOLO 650 with above mentined frequency and period...? And what are its side effects. Somebody has also suggested me to take SUMO tablet( Combination of 100mg Ninuslide and 500mg Paracetamol. Please advice.

Dolo 650 contains paracetamol or acetaminophen in 650mg per tablet.
The toxic dose of paracetamol is if it’s concentration is more than 10g....the dose which you are taking is 650 multiplied 4 times which is only 2600mg or 2.6g which is hardly one -fourth of the toxic dose...
now to your information the dose will become FATAL only if it is more than 250mg/kg that is if you are a 60kg guy taking 15g paracetamol could be fatal
So to conclude :
1) you don’t have to worry about taking dolo650 4 times a day...
2) kindly take off your PUO
3) try to take plenty of oral fluids and try to do tepid sponging which can lower your body temperature.
