How Effective Is Taking Ibuprofen For Pain Caused Due To Shoveling Snow?
Hi. I was shovelling snow yesterday from the drive way and suddenly experienced an excruciating pain on the muscle which joins the humerous bone withe the chest bone. It is on my right side. It got better after a while but today when I woke uo after a short nao in the afternoon, it started again. It is extremey painful. I took an ibuprofen which lowered the level of pain, but i think that with a slight movement of my arm in the wrong position, it will start again. Please suggest what is best at this point.
It appears that you have sprained the shoulder muscles while shoveling snow. Continue with the ibuprofen as it will also reduce the inflammation in addition to lowering the pain. Local application of ointments containing diclofenac and other analgesics will help. Also apply hot compress on the painful area to improve the blood circulation and allow for faster healing. Give rest to the affected area and avoid any rapid movements for the next few days.
Best wishes.
