How Does A Tonsillectomy In A Child Differ With An Adult?
I am an on line student. I have to write a1 page paper answering the following question. "Explain why a tonsillectomy in a child is less likely to involve complications than the same procedure for an adult." I would apreciate any help you can give me.
Surgical dissection in children is more easy and blood less as the plane of dissection is identified readily.Adult patients due to repeated infections the plane of identification is difficult and bleeding could be more troublesome. But post operative complications mostly airway problems are more in children than adults.
