How Can Phimosis Be Treated?

Hello Doctor. I am 21 years old. I cannot retract my foreskin completely because there is a small joint with the penis. Because of this incomplete retraction I think I have a little pain during intercourse whenever I try to push it fully inside. There are no issues related to urination. Is this phimosis, and if yes what should I do ? Is circumcision the only option ?

Hello,

If you are unable to retract your penis foreskin, you can use some oil as a lubricant and try retracting slowly step by step. Take your own time and do this every day for a month or so. You will be alright.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr K. V. Anand, Psychologist
