How Can Painful Veins Be Treated?

Is there any way to deaden a nerve in my foot? I have a bunion and the nerve that runs along it is extremely painful. I have had a cortisone shot that only lasted 4 weeks and need to try something else. The bunion isn t very big, that s not the issue. The nerve is the problem.

Hi, You can try nerve modulating medicines like Pregabalin or Mecobalamine. Taking injections into your nerve is the only answer if the pain is excruciating. There is no other way to treat it other than maybe to resort to operative removal of the bunion with ligation or tying off of the nerve.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
