How Can Knee Pain With A Raised Spot And Pus Be Treated?

Wearing Jeans at dinner in a nice home (no bugs noticed). I noticed knee pain felt like it was superficial yet deeper into the bone at the proximal point of the knee cap. A couple house later in bed felt pain in knee enough to get out of bed and look. There is a raised red spot about the size of a dime with redness around it about the sixe of a quarter (warm to touch). Black spot at the head (bite?) Pain about 4/10. It is painful to palpatation in the red area. "Popped" the top and clear fluid oozing. I am wondering if it is a bite and when to seek treatment and how long to watch it. (It is 1AM here).
