Dronis 20 is a oral contraceptive pill (OCP) containing Ethinyl Estradiol, an Estrogen & Drospirenone, a Progesterone. It is often prescribed for birth control, regulation of periods. The advantage of Drospirenone is that, unlike the earlier Progesterones, it will not result in growth of facial hair or hair loss (seen in some women). Some side effects are continued spotting, prolonged bleeding, change in period pattern if you take them continuously. Other side effects would include Breast tenderness, Depression, Increase or decrease in facial and body hair ,Hair loss, Increase in spotting and breakthrough bleeding, Weight gain, Dizziness, Nervousness ,Change in libido ,Headaches etc The effects of the hormones contained in any hormonal contraceptive usually get out of the body within few months time, but the fertility/ovulation may take about 1.5 years to return (the longer you are on hormonal birth control use, the longer it would take your fertility/ovulation to return).
