hi my five yr old daughter has server ear pain for 5 days now been to docs twice they say its build up of wax and she got give some olive oil drops but after two days of using them they still not done anything and she is in a lot of pain should i take her back and how long do i use olive oil ear drops for

Hello,

If it is due to wax, one needs to use wax softeners for 3 to 5 days and then go for syringing. However it may be due to Acute Otitis media, if your child had cold recently then she will need a different treatment.
