i have been checking my blood sugar. I have not be diagnosed with diabetes but because diabetes runs high in my family on a recent eye exam the changes were so that the doctor suggested it could be from sugar. I have been having such a change in my sugar from 59-171. I had an low 59 yesterday I felt shaky and weak and light headed I felt I my legs could hardly hold me up so I checked it at that time and that is when it was 59 is this too low?
Hello welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns. YES. THE SYPMTOMS YOU HAVE MENTIONED ARE DUE TO LOW BLOOD SUGAR. Diabetes usually is very easy to confirm and it has familial tendency but only 20 percent of chances when one of your parents has diabetes. My advice to you is -
1. Do your FBS, PP2BS AND HBA1c report. Ask your doctor about this report and confirm the diagnosis frst. 2. Whenever you feel same symptoms immediately eat chocolate or drink glucose water. 3.If reports will be good enough then excessive restrictions on diet for sugar is not required. Just do regular walking and eat healthy diet will keep prevent you from having diabetes In future upto some extent. Thank you. Have a nice day.
