Hello, My father s age is 61. he is having diabetis from the past 10years. He checked intially. Doctor said sugar level is Normal and happened due to work tension . My father was also beliving like that and didn t check frequently. Now he is getting heavy stomach for last 2 years[not frequently,3-5 times per year]. Two days back, Doctors checked the sugar level and it was 390 before breakfast, when he admitted to the hospital for stomach pain. Could anyone advise me that what should be done to control the sugar level. Note : he is a vegeterian.

Hello, Welcome to HCM I understand your concerns.Surely your father is a diabetic as of now.
I would suggest him to start oral antidiabetic agents also called oral hypoglycemics immediately that will help to bring down the sugar levels.Dosage will be adjusted according to his sugar levels.
Along with this he need to do regular exercises like brisk walk for half an hour a day and diet control.
