How Can Anxiety And Stress With Sleeping Problems Be Controlled?

Hi,
I am 24 and I have suffered with stress and anxiety since 18. My Dad also has the same problem and it is useful talking to him about it, but recentely it appears to have become worse especially as my job responsibilities have grown at work. I particularly find it hard to sleep.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Yes definitly. First of all, I ususlly suggest my patients who have similar problems , about doing yoga , relaxation exercises and brisk walking in morning hours. Next step would include to visit a psychiatrist for pharmacological management of your anxiety disorder. As you told, your father have similar problems, so chances of having these problems in you are present. I usually prescribe tablet etizolam in morning and aftrrnoon and tab propranolol along with tablet clonazepam in night. Doses of medications according to severity of illness and could be assessed by the psychiatrist.
