History Of Delayed, Heavy, Long Periods After Sexual Intercourse. Delayed Periods Again, History Of Having Sex. Any Opinion?
I had sex which was all protected and I was late by about 13 days.. then i got my period which was heavy for 8 days, then it stopped, then after 3 days my period started with a heavy flow for another 4 days. My partner and i had protected intercourse on after the last day of the period. I am over 2 weeks late this time around. So i am very confused because i never have irregular periods i am always on time. And I recently have been stressed and working out alot.
Hi, As per your symptoms, it is obvious that you are going through a phase of hormonal imbalance as evidenced by the irregular periods. The flow could usually be higher when a period is delayed as there would be endometrial hyperplasia most of the time. Stress can cause cycle disturbance, so please try to relieve yourself of the stress, maintain a healthy weight and contact your consultant for further management. You may need hormone therapy for a few cycles along with nutritional supplements and treatment of infections, if any. Wish you good health.
