Welcome to HealthCare Magic

Hope you are doing good. You did not Mentioned which hernia do you have inguinal , umbilical etc. Well if they had cat scan 5 months and did not see any hernia that means there was no hernia . you can check the 5 months back cat scan record you will get proper idea from it. If they would have seen it they would have definitely closed it.

You need to review you Cat scan report , but i don't think that you would have hernia near by at that time , this hernia could have appeared later.

I hope have answered your query , feel free to ask if you have any query. Wish you good health.
Regards

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
From your query, it looks like you underwent hernia reduction surgery after CT scan findings. While inguinal hernia is commonest, there are other types of hernia also.
Sometimes, a hernia surgery is done with mesh repair. This mesh can slip from its original position and drift to another location thus opening up the hernia again. Also if the hernia repair was done correctly and you have not taken post operative precautions, the hernia can re appear.
Please discuss your reports with surgeon.

Hope this helps.
