Hi,
Thanks for discussing your problem with us.
Any abnormal bleeding after 40 needs evaluation to rule out rare but serious problems like endometrial hyperplasia & cancer of womb.
Cause may vary from a local cause like poly or fibroid, hormonal problem or an undiagnosed pregnancy complication. It may represent side effect of any medicine you are on.
You should see a gynecologist for examination & necessary tests like pelvic ultrasound.
Best wishes.
