Heavy Bleeding, Stomach Cramps, Back Pain,blood Clots, Performed Pap, Negative Pregnancy. Suggestion?

I had a tubaligation (clamps) approximately 9 years ago last Tuesday I had some spotting the stopped wednesday I started bleeding very heavy soaking pads like every 20-30 min also passed a large blood clot stomach cramps horrible and lower back pain the bleeding contiued Thursday still passing some blood clots I went to the dr where he performed a pap and done some bloodwork and a pregnancy test that showed negative my monthly cycle isn't suppose to start until around the 6th of October...I have to go for a TRANSVAGINAL ultrasound tomorrow....he also gave me a medication to stop or slow down the bleeding. I'm clueless??? Could I be pregnant or could have been??

Thanks for writing to HCM.

According to your history, it might be a possible abortion, i.e. you could have been and then, spontaneously aborted. However, ultrasound would give a better judgement.

In addition, tube-ligation is also associated with bleeding (internal) and infection. You can discuss this with your OG.

Hi,
The tubal ligation done 9years back, without history of profuse bleeding,or conception in all these 9years. Your normal period is due on 6th October.
I see least chance of pregnancy. Even if it is there, the bleeding will not be profuse as you describe it.The bleeding might be due to other causes pertaining to hormones,uterus, cervix.
You have not mentioned your age. It might be pre menopausal as well.
Your blood check up,PAP smear is already done. The trance
vaginal sonography you are planned for tomorrow.
Please don't be tense.
By tomorrow all the things will be clear & you will start the medicines & get well soon.
