Hearing Loss Has Reduced Years Ago. Now Lost In Left Ear. Had Sinus Infection. Lost Smell, Taste Ability. Inner Ear Infection?
About 4 years ago, I was told my hearing loss was 40% gone. Two and half weeks ago...I lost it totally in left ear. I have a MRI tomorrow, plus doctor has me on strong dose of steroids. I had severe sinus infection for month in March. I have lost quite abit of ability to smell, taste. just recently. I frequently smell an unpleasent odor when I breathe in. He suggested possibly inner ear infection OR mini-stroke. I am female/60yrs. Any ideas what is going on?
Hi, hearing loss, and loss of taste combindly suggest some damage to the nerves, or the center in the brain. Any how you are going to have an M.R.I. tomorrow, and you would have the result b now. Don't worry every thing will be all right these days every disease has the solution. Thank you.
