Headache, Running Nose, Swelling In Throat, Sweating, Chills. Taking Paracetamol And Flu-max Medication, No Relief. Treatment For Symptoms?
hey i have been ill for the last 4 days and ive been taking paracetamol and flu-max ll-in-one chesty cough and cold tablets and they are not doing anything for me i have got really bad pressure on my head runny nose bad chest cough my throat is swollen but i havent got any tostails had them taken out years ago really bad pains in my stomach and my back and keep going really hot sweety and then going really cold i have rung my doctor today and they said just take paracetamol which i have for 4 days now and nothing is working the pain sometimes is to bad to cope with its having me crying in the middle of the night its that bad? i just wanna know whats up with me ?

You seem to be suffering from acute viral infection and it takes 4 to 7 days to become alright.
Besides taking paracetamol,rightly advised by your doctor,you should do following things
Take steam inhalation 2-3 times a day.
Take hot liquids
Avoid cold liquids
Do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day.
May take some anti allergic tablet like allegro or cetrizine or benadryl once a day.
You should be alright in next couple of days.

Do warm saline gurgling four times daily for a week.
Take Vit C 500mg tablet once daily for a week. Eat plenty of citrous fruits.
Have plenty of fluids.
Have steam inhalation 4times daily for a week.
Take Paracetamol 500mg tablet twice daily for 3 days and thereafter sos
Take Levocetrizine 5mg tablet twice daily for 5 days
Take CoAmoxiclav 625mg tablet thrice daily for 5 days.
Have a throat swab culture sensitivity done if possible.
But dont self medicate.Get a clinical checkup from your doctor and take his advice.
