Having Problem Of Excess Bleeding, Clots During Periods, Causing Anemia. Ultrasound Of Uterus Done. Can Any Online Doctor Help?

i am having this problem of excess bleeding and clots during periods for last ten years. it continues for eight to ten days, even longer sometimes causing anaemia . my hemoglobin goes down to as low as 3.5. had to bt few times. can this be cured by taking medicines. am taking norgest 5mg at present as prescribed by my local physician. my age is 50years. Have diabetes for eight years and high blood pressure for last tw years. Have three children aged one boy 26yrs, two daughters 24 and 22 years my tesr reports r as follows- (1) ultrasound of uterus--anteverted, enlarged in size measuring 12.9 x 10.4 x 9.4 cms, globular in shape and shows heterogenous myometrial echotexture. endometrial thickness is 2.74 cm, with indistinct endometrial-myometrial interface. ovaries could not be well visualised. no free fluid is seen in abdomen . impression--(a) mild hepatomegaly with coarse liver echotexture, (b) enlarged globular uterus with heterogenousmyometrial echotexture s/o adenomyosis, (c) thick endometrial echoswith indistinct margins. (2) histopathology—site of biopsy—endometrial tissue. Gross- received multiple brownish pieces of soft tissue together measuring 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.9 cms. Microscopic examination—microscopic examination of the section shows large area of haemorrhage, fibrin and few fragmented endometrial glands. One superficial strip of ectocervical tissue also seen. No definite opinion was possible (3) am taking norgest 5mg twice daily (4) other medicines – inj human mixtard 30/70 x 2 l amaryl 1mg x 2, glycomet 500mg x 2, telma 40mg x 3, a to z, roofer xt

based on my experience and your history and ultrasound results, i would recommend total abdominal hysterectomy for you. I have managed 5 patients with similar complains by doing hysterectomy and they improved.Hope i answered your question, will be happy to help you if you have more queries.
