Having Noticed High Fever, cold Sore, chest Discomfort & Soreness

I received unprotected oral sex with an unknownhiv status person (no obvious blood or cuts) and on week 6th after the episode i started developing high fever for 2-3 days and then my fever got really mild and I had a lip cold sore which i spreaded with my finger because i didnt know what it was and i ended up with a possible sore inone of my nose holes, my mucus was dry and red and after blowing my nose it would bleed a bit on the napkin i was using. Is it possible to get them there? I also had hard times swallowing when the fever was high... Rrgardless on how much saliva or water i would swallow... It felt like food was bit stuck in my digestive trackand had chest discomfort from this until my fever lowered and i got the cold sore. Its been 2 weeks since the high fever and I keep on getting it on and off but very mildly... It feels more like my body is warmer than usual especially on my chest. I also had chills and night sweats when i had high fever but they stopped when the fever got mild. I'mstill experience a lot of fatigue and shortbreath from climbing normal steps and breathing in general. I didnt notice anyskin rash but i sill have some chest discomfort like pressure exerted on it. I have been having a dry coughing after high fever was gone and its mostly gone but not entirely. I think i had a sore throat one night but then gargled some vinegar in hot water and dont rememeber having again after this one night.
I havent got tested... Im on week 8th but im travelling... Whats the earliest i can get tested with definite resylts?

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Unprotected receptive oral sex is a very low risk in terms of HIV. HIV risk is almost negligible unless the person performing oral sex has sores in the oral mucosa, which increases the risk.
Other STD's like Genital herpes, Gonorrhea, Syphilis can be transmitted through oral, genital as well as anal sex on contact with an infected sore.

Your symptoms do seem to suggest that you have a flu like illness, which probably has got you worried in terms of whether it is related to the incident.
Apart from HIV and syphilis, the symptoms don't fit into any other STD's. Syphilis, particularly secondary syphilis can be associated with non-specific flu like systemic symptoms such as these

If I was the treating doctor I would have tested you right away for syphilis as well as HIV, since it has already been more than a month after the incident. It is routine to test at 1 month after a risky sexual contact, for HIV and Syphilis(VDRL/RPR test).

HIV and VDRL testing needs to be repeated at 3 months to cover for the window period of HIV and incubation period of syphilis (which is 9-90 days)

I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a sexual health specialist for counselling as well as appropriate testing.

Regards
