Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Having Heavy Meal. Down With Fever And No Food. No Stable Appetite. Reasons?
My 18 year old son was eating big meal then feels sick never throws up or any diarea. Feeels like he will throw up Two days of not eating with fever then feels better. Appetite not all the way back after 3 weeks. He will be eating and feels hungry then suddenly full. He says like hitting a wall. No gas belching pain just full.
I understand your concern. It seems to me like your son has a problem with eating known as binge eating disorder (BED). I would bring this to the attention of a qualified psychiatrist who can help with medications. I also feel like he is also having problems with gastritis and needs the attention of a GI doctor as well. I would recommend that you first get an upper GI endoscopy done for your son as well as H Pylori testing. It seems like this is a condition that can be easily dealt with when you see a psychiatrist.
Take care and have a lovely day!
