Rheumatologist 's  Response
Hi !
Thank you for your query.

Dear sir ,

Looking into your problem foot pain with swelling of toes can be due to variety of reasons. since you say you didnt suffer from any injury it is important to rule out arthritis. You havent mentioned your age otherwise that would have been helpful.
Anyways kindly consult a rheumatologist for that for ruling out conditions like arthritis , gout etc by doing some special tests if required.

Hope you are satisfied with the answer.
If you have any further queries feel free to ask.
Wish you good health.
Take care.

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist Sunny Israni's  Response
Hi,
Looking at the complaint that u feel pain when u wake up in the morning and it gets better as the day passes, it seems as if you have plantar fascitis.
U can start with contrast bath of your foot. That is do hot and cold water immersions of the foot alternately. Start with 1 minute cold followed by 4 minutes hot. Do this 4 times, that is, for 20 minutes, 2 times a day.

Before your place your feet on the ground in the morning, squeeze your foot actively by contracting it tightly as much as u can for 3-5 seconds X 10 times and then get up.

Wear proper footwear. U might have a collapsed medial arch of the foot. For that, the middle insole should be elevated.

Visit a physiotherapist who can tape your foot for relieving the pain and to also provide adequate support. Also learn some exercises to strengthen your intrinsic muscles of the foot.

Meanwhile, you can do calf raises to strengthen your calves which will help in taking off the load.

Take care, Get well soon! :)
