Have Strep Throat, Scarlet Fever, On Antibiotics. Continuous Cough, Rashes On Body. Strep Test Negative. Cure?

Hi, My son had his tonsils removed a month ago and now has strep throat and scarlet fever. He's been on antibiotics for 4 days now and still has a fever and trouble with his throat. He continuously coughs and clears his throat and at times vomits. The rash is still quite visible on his entire body also. Does anyone have any similar experiences? The swab for strep came back negative but the doctor was certain that it was a false negative because all of the symptoms point to strep. Please help me!

Hi..
Thanks for the query..
For scarlet fever you need to use antibiotic for few more days..
You can either continue with the same antibiotic or can go for a higher antibiotic depending on the symptoms..
He can do saline garglings and take warm water for relief...
Take care...
