Have Severely Decreased Libido. On Methadone, Flexaril, Klonopin. Is This The Side Effect Of The Medicine?

I am trying to determine which medication (s) I take may be the root of my severely decreased libido. I have severe osteoarthritis, see a pain management dr. Regularly. Have been taking 30mg of methadone daily, along with Flexaril,
Klonopin, Effexor, lovastation and Lomitil. I have tried to decrease the methadone, not very successfully. Is one of these medications more likely to cause this change.. It has been difficult for both my husband and I to understand, and cope. Is there any publication that might help?

Thank you very for the question.

Methadone can cause decrease sex drive or difficulty having orgasm. It can also cause impotence. Avoid the combination of methadone and flexaril or ask your doctor.

Klonopin should also be avoided in people on narotic pain killers like methadone. There is high risk drug to drug interaction between Klonopin and Venlafaxine (Efflexor)--- aviod them.

Is it lovastatin or lovastation.
If lovastatin ( cholesterol lowering drug), then it can cause loss of libido.

Is it Lomitil or Lomotil?

Please speak to your doctor regarding loss of libido and change in prescription if he or she feels so.

Generally narcotic pain medicines, antidepressants and statins(cholesterol lowering drugs) cause loss of libido.
