Have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Positive Anti Ccp Test. Suggested LFT. Necessary To Do This Test?

sir ,
I am suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis problem and my anti ccp test report is also positive & doctors suggest me for LFT (liver function test) but i didn't go for this test i want to know that what is the use of this test and i also want to know how it can be cured properly because every one says that there is no permanent treatment of this problem.

And my younger sister is also suffering from this problem but her anti ccp test is normal i don know how because joints of her wrist pains like hell and she is not able to move them properly & the joints of her shoulder also pains very badly all her reports are normal we fails to understand what is happening with her. and there is swelling in her wrist which is permanent can you suggest something for both of us.

Is this a paid service?

Thanks & Warm Regards
Supriya

Hi Supriya!
welcome to HCM!
Your anti-ccp test is positive that confirms your rheumatoid arthritis.Like RF, these tests are positive in only 70% of all RA cases, but are rarely positive if RA is not present, giving it a high specificity of around 95%

RA primarily affects joints, however it also affects other organs in 15–25% of individualsYour doctor suggests LFT to check whether liver is involved or not as sometimes asymptomatic involvement can occur in Rheumatoid Arthritis.you must get it done its a simple test.

There is no cure for RA, but treatment improves symptoms and slows the progress of the disease. Disease-modifying treatment has the best results when it is started early and aggressively.Regular exercise is recommended

your sister might also be having Rheumatoid Arthritis (as in 30 per cent RF and anti-ccp are negative )or some other form of arthritis. RA typically manifests with the affected joints being swollen, painful and stiff, particularly early in the morning or following prolonged inactivity. Increased stiffness early in the morning is often a prominent feature of the disease and typically lasts for more than an hour.presence of swelling in wrist can be the rheumatoid nodule, which, is most characteristic of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
