Have Recurring Heartburn. Anemic And Sleep Problem. Can Iron Medicine Cause High Blood Pressure?
Hello my name is Mae, I have suffered from very severe heartburn I have been to the emergency room at least 15 times in one year. I am also a anemic will this interactive with my iron medicine. 325mg. I just want something that's not going to harm me. Can this cause high blood pressure. I have taken medium and omeprazole and I have a sleep problem. What can I do for that.
hi there, severe heart burns signify gastroesophagial reflux may be due to gastritis or peptic ulcer disease. If you are a type A personality with lots of stress then it could be aggravating your condition. Other common causes are irregular diet, excessive alcohol intake, smoking, obesity, sedentry lifestyle, use of indiscreminent NSAID or anti-inflammatory drugs like pain killers.Iron tablets also cause gastric irritation and they may be aggravating your condition. If the condition is too troublesome you could visit your physician and consider taking parental iron therapy to reduce gastric irritation. In the meanwhile continue omeprozole and make some changes in your lifestyle and food habits to get symptomatic relief. Take care.
