Have Problem With Sleeping And Feel Tired Always

For the past 3.5 months, I have noticed that I go to bed tired, wake up tired and sleepy and I feel that it's getting worse. I take the generic drug for Ambian because I have a difficult time going to sleep. I only have 15% of my thyroid and take synthroid every other day, I also take my daily vitamins, D3, B12, metothraxate because I have early stages of RA.

Hi,

Your day time sleepiness may be due to the residual effects of Ambien. It can also lead to impaired psychomotor and cognitive function which persist into the day following night time administration. To confirm this, try shifting the dose of Ambien to a few hours earlier or reduce the dose and see if it makes you feel better in the day. If your thyroid hormones are still not in the normal range, this also may lead to abnormal sleep patterns and fatigue. You also need to assess if you have been depressed lately as both excessive fatigue and sleep difficulties are common in depression.

Best wishes.
