Have Pain And Swelling In The Knee. No Medication Till Now. What Can Be The Problem?

I have been having pain in my right knee for almost 3 weeks. Seems to be getting worse. At first it was with bending and stairs. Now when walking and throbbing when laying down. I am unable to go down on my knees or twist quickly. Hurts to have bent and completely straight when laying down. Throbbing pain on left middle and right side of knee. Swelling that feels like some fluid on left side bottom of knee cap. I have degenerative disc disease in my back in neck so was thinking this was the same thing. I am 30 years old and overweight, I have recently lost 25 pounds. I am starting to feel like this may be something else. Also vein is popping out on bottom of knee and I have never seen it do that before

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum.
Thanks for choosing H.C.M.Forum.
You got pain in the knee since 3 weeks, increasing, at first with bending and climbing stairs, now at rest also, on left middle and right side of knee. swelling on left side bottom of knee cap. You had degenerative disc disease in your back of neck. also vein is popping out at the bottom of the knee. You are 30 years old, and over weight.
It appears to be some degenerative change in the miniscus of the cartilages. Or may be arthritis.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I.of the knee besides other routine tests for confermation.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
Best regards.
