Have Nosebleeds On Left Nostril. What Can I Do?

Yes, well I have been getting nosebleeds onl o my left nostril for quite a while now. I will admit, I do sometimes pick my nose and i remember thats how it began, but after realizing i should stop picking my nose. It became a random flood of blood coming down my left nostril. Ten inutes ago, when i cleared my nose. the back of my nose from the inside felt like a big ball of muucis(if i spelled that correctly?) and i spit it out and it was pure blood, with some type of really really dark blood in the middle . what could this posibly be, and what can i do ?

Hi and thanks for the query,
You need to get a doctor to see inside your nose to ascertain the exact cause of bleeding.
You may need nasal endoscopy to look deep inside your nose.
Till then do not pick your nose.
You can instill saline nose drops 10 drops 4 times daily to keep the nose moist.
Do not blow forcibly and always sneeze with your mouth open.
Regards,
Dr kishori.
