Have Irregular Periods. Prescribed Daflon. Can I Take This Medicine?

i am having irregular periods and my periods have exceeded my usual 7 days duration I have consulted a doctor here and she gave me daflon 500mg a total dosage of (2-2-2) i.e. 3000mg/per day. I cannot take medicines that can cause inflamation since I was operated twice for my intestinal small bowl. Can you please advice me if I can take this medicine? And what can I do to control my irregular periods. Thanks...

Hi Siddiqiaz,

The medication you are desrcibing as daflon is prescribed for the irregular periods or for some thing else. This medicine is not used for the purpose of irregular bleeding. Most of the time hormonal repalcement therapy in the form of estrogen or progesterone tablets are used according to the condition for the treatment of the condition of irregular bleeding.

The medication you are desrcibing may be prescibed to you for some other indication. Kindly make sure with your prescribing doctor regarding this before using this.

Thanks and take care.
