Have High Heart Rate After Cutting Beta Blocker Dose In Half. Is This Normal?

i recently had my beta blocker dose cut in half before it was lowering my heart rate into the 40s but now my heart rate is hitting 90s to 122 is that normal? Also how long does it take to the Metoprolol tartrate 25mg tab to take effect after i take my now half a dose?

Percentage reduction helps
If it is for pressure, another class can be substituted after withdrawal
Steady state effect depends on half-life of the drug / generally a week for most of them…
