Have High Bilirubin Level, What Is Wrong ?

Hi Doc, my fiance recently got some blood work done because he was shakey at times when he had not eaten. We thought he could have diabetes or a thyroid condition. Both test came back negative. His bilirubin count seemed to be high though. 1st test showed a 1.8 bilirubin level. He went back the next day for another test and it showed a 1.6 bilirubin level. They want to wait 2weeks before taking another test. We re very worried! Any ideas on what could be going on?

Hello,

Did he do a blood glucose test during the period of shaking ? Besides, does he feel any other symptoms ?
Does he feel fine after eating ?
