Have Headaches. Have Capillary Bleeding Under Skin. On Warfarin. History Of Lupus. Will I Be Okay?
Hi For the last 6 months I've been dealing with what looks like capillary bleeding under the skin. To help mum is a RMN RGN and she said she has only seen marking like this before in patients who are on warfarin (sorry about spelling!) and whom take too much - may give you an idea of what it looks like. For 24hrs before the markings come up I severe and painful itching it that area which then slightly subsides once markings come out. My mum has lupus but that is the only blood disorder in our family. I also suffer with severe headaches which my neurologist thinks could be cluster headaches but can't be sure!
Hi, Thank you for posting your query. Increased tendency to bleed under the skin should be investigated. It could be due to low platelet count or any other bleeding disorder. Use of analgesics or steroids can also lead to increased bleeding under the skin. I agree warfarin use can also cause it but you are not on it. Please get back if you require any additional information.
Best wishes,
