I am suffering from fever yesterday..Temp is 99.6 F,I went to a doctor and took medicines..he prescribed paracetomol and antibiotic with Cetzine for running nose and irritaion..from today morning I feel more bitter taste in my mouth..I am a diabetic and I am on insulin also..is there any reson to panic ? Is it a simple fever ? or anything serious ?
Hello,
Your history suggests it to be a simple viral fever and so there is just the requirement of paracetamol and CETRIZINE and no need of any anti biotic at the moment.Such types of viral fever genearally go away in 3 to 4 days but if the fever increases or some bacterial infection takes place, the chances are more since you are a diabetic, then you should get required investigations done to look for evidence of infection and a proper course of proper antibiotic should be instituted immediately.
Make sure that your blood sugar level are controlled properly.
Uncontrolled sugar levels can lead to infections and infections can lead to decontrol of blood sugar levels.so just be careful but there is nothing serious at the moment.
Thanks
