Hello.A patient with facial injuries after sun exposure and not relieved with the application of local corticosteroid, another possible diagnoses such as Fungal Infection should be considered.Your daughter should not continue applying the cream because it is not 100% effective and also is not recommended prolonged use of corticosteroids.I treat my patients with Ketoconazole cream 2% twice a day+Ebastine 10 mg twice a day when Fungal Infection with itchy is the diagnosis. Please consult your local doctor for a prescription.
I wish you good health.

General & Family Physician Dr. Dr.Albana Sejdini's  Response
Hi,

If you doctor has prescribed it to you; should have asked for how long to use it.

Generally, Flutivate cream is used until the symptoms are disappeared as it is a corticosteroid and long-term usage can cause reversible hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression.

I usually prescribe topical herbal cream for such types of allergy when it comes to long-term usage to avoid side effects.

You can ask in your local pharmacy as they can be sold without prescription. Remember to ask the pharmacist that you want a non-histaminic neither a corticosteroid cream; you want a herbal ant-allergic cream.

Hope it helped!
