Have A Coloured Patch On The Forearms Which Is Staring To Spread. No Medication Or Test Till Now. What Could Be The Cause?
There is a red area on both of my forearms. It is not itchy. There appears to be no swelling, if so it is slight. It's almost like a rash without the bumps and itchiness. Strangely, it has appeared in the same place on the upper part of both my forearms. About the same size, I'd say 6 inches or so down my arm. What do you think may be causing this?
This could be a lesion of allergic, infectious or a systemic disease. A simple physical examination with a dermatological lens to appreciate the lesion aspects and borders shall very much to a great extent, give an idea of the diagnosis. Fungal infections could present as such. Systemic diseases like some vasculitis could present first with patches. I suggest you book an appointment with a dermatologist. Thanks and kind regards,
