General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this diarrhea.

From the information you have provided, I am of the opinion that this diarrhea is not linked to the procedure itself. They are totally unrelated and iodine has not been noted to cause this. However, if certain antibiotics like clindaycin, ampicillin, etc were used, it could have triggered clostridium difficilae related diarrhea or any other possible cause of chronic diarrhea like liver/pancreas diseases etc.

I will suggest that you get this diarrhea addressed. Consult with your physician and get it investigated. Starting with a good questioning and surrounding circumstances, physical exam and a stool exam would be guiding as to what the way forward would look like. A gastroenterologist would be the best physician to consult.

For now, stay hydrated as drinking as much fluids as possible. Continue keeping fit as it boost up your health status.

I hope you find this answer helpful. Thank you for using our services. I wish you well and feel free to ask for clarifications if need be.
