Had Stricture In Bile Duct And Did Stinting. After ERCP Advised Nexum, Esomeprazole. Erection Has Become Bad
Dear sir,
i am a 26 year old male i had stricture in lower end of my common bile duct for that i did stinting 3 times as there are no stones in my gall bladder i didn,t operate it.my doctor advised me after ERCP to take nexum-40 MG esomeprazole for 1 month and i have taken it for 2 months but when i try to stop use of it my excretion becomes bad so what medicine should i take or anything else i have to do for better excretion.

As you have said, you had stenting done for ? benign bile duct stricture and an ERCP.
Taking Nexium for months may precipitate erectile dysfunction. This is a proton pump inhibitor class of medicines and can cause this side effect in few people taking the medicine regularly.
After discontinuing the medicine, sexual function normalises again.
Please discuss this with your doctor.
